As the tour de Yorkshire gets underway it seems a good time to remind you that Simon Abbott, of The Harrison Clinic, has developed a massage for cyclists. He is a level 5 qualified Soft Tissue Therapist and is a full member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage.

The massage takes in the main areas of wear and tear that are used in cycling: wrist, neck, shoulders, lower back as well as the legs.

The massage can be used as a maintenance tool, but it can also highlight potential issues that you may not even be aware of. Prevention is better than cure especially if you’re planning to ride a century!

What will you get from the treatment? Well, the benefits vary from person to person, but can include: a release of tension in deep muscles and connective tissue, a return to “normal” range of motion, the reduction of adhesion and knots in the muscles, and a general feeling of wellbeing. All this can lead to better performance.

So, if you think this treatment could benefit you, please give The Harrison Clinic a call on 0118 976 2253 to book an appointment
