“ We can choose to throw stones, to stumble on them, to climb over them or to build with them” William Ward

Life… well it’s a bit like the weather at the moment…. Sunny, then stormy and then floods and then sunny again. We all have good and bad days, although sometimes we become overwhelmed, anxious or angry about the situation we find ourselves in.

Sometimes we just need to vent about the big and the little things, other times we need to analyse why we react and behave in a certain way or learn to develop strategies to help with emotions and occasionally we need to have the support just to know we are doing the right thing.

Often people do not want to burden friends and family with their problems or feel uncomfortable doing so. Counselling gives support and encouragement from an independent, non-judgmental professional with total confidentially and who is not emotionally involved. The Harrison Clinic offers integrative counselling, which draws upon many psychological theories, techniques and tools to provide a bespoke and holistic method to help you through life’s challenges.

Counselling helps us to talk about our thoughts, feelings and gives time to self-reflect upon the past and present and to think about the choices and behaviour’s we may display in life’s situations. Instead of throwing stones (anger) or stumbling on them (anxiety/depression), learn how to climb over them and build a more calm and positive future.
